Latvian duo Robert Mezeckis and Guntars Silagailis have both signed for Cork City after impressing during a trial period.
New City boss Paul Doolin choose the pair to go on trial and was impressed enough to make them the latest signings as City gear up for the new season. Robert Mezeckis is a central defender who previously played for Latvian giants Skonto Riga and has previously played for the Latvian national team. Guntars Silagailis has signed from FK Riga and has signed a 1 year-deal with the Rebel army.
The third signing this week is Shane Duggan who has returned the Munster. The Limerick-born former Plymouth player was with UCD in the latter part of last season although he couldn't save the Dubliners from relegation. Duggan is a midfielder who will be aiming for a 1st team place this season.
