League Cup 2nd Round Review

Monday night saw the 2nd round of the League cup take place with 7 ties taking place. 

FC Carlow are out having been beaten by Waterford United 1-2 after extra-time. 

Galway United dumped Derry City out with a 1-0 win at Terryland Park. 

St Patrick's exited the cup at the hands of Dublin rivals Shamrock Rovers to increase the pressure on Jeff Kenna. 

The Shock of the round was at Turner's Cross were Cork City exited the competition after losing 5-4 on penalties to Wexford Youths. 

Drogheda United are also out after losing 0-2 to Sporting Fingal. 

Bohemians won an entertaining tie 4-3 after extra-time against rivals Shelbourne.
