Dundalk appoint Sean Connor

Newly promoted Dundalk caused a stir last week when John Gill was shown the door despite having guided the club to the 1st division title last month.
John Gill is said to be angry at getting sacked after gaining promotion. Gill was appointed in 2005 but Dundalk have shocked the fans after this announcement.
The club have appointed former Bohemians manager Sean Connor who himself was sacked 12 months ago. Sean Connor also was manager of Sligo Rovers in 2006.
Sean Connor's objective will be to avoid the drop in 2009 and then push for mid-table. The club and Connor have agreed a 3-year-deal.
